When you are building a new digital solution, modernizing a critical system, or getting a stalled initiative moving again, you need clear technical direction and someone responsible for carrying it through.
I join your team as an interim solution architect: shaping the architecture, leading technical decisions, and working hands-on through implementation and into production. I make the trade-offs clear and help your team move forward with a shared understanding of what to build and why.
When to Bring Me In
- A new initiative needs an experienced architect to establish its technical direction.
- Delivery is slowing because technical decisions are unresolved or ownership is unclear.
- A critical system needs modernization with a workable transition plan.
- Your team needs additional architectural capacity through a demanding period.
What I Take Responsibility For
A coherent solution design. Connecting business needs, integrations, data, security, and operational requirements into an architecture your team can build and maintain.
Clear technical decisions. Making options, constraints, and consequences visible so the people involved understand what has been decided and why.
Technical direction through delivery. Working closely with developers, contributing hands-on where needed, and adapting the design as implementation reveals new information.
Readiness for production. Bringing operational needs into the design early and helping establish the monitoring, documentation, and knowledge your team needs to run and change the solution.
How the Engagement Works
I start by understanding the solution, the people involved, and the decisions that need attention. Together, we establish what matters most, where the risks are, and what needs to happen next.
From there, I lead the architecture work as part of your team. I keep the design and its reasoning visible, resolve technical questions with the people affected, and stay involved as the solution takes shape.
For a modernization, that includes defining a practical path from the existing system while accounting for business continuity, dependencies, and delivery constraints.
The engagement covers a specific solution, with scope and duration shaped around what you need. It is delivered through Alpha Phase Consulting AB.
Designed for the Whole Life Cycle
The decisions made during design affect how a solution is built, operated, changed, and eventually retired. I consider those consequences from the start.
I use complementary architectural views, stakeholder stories, and versioned diagrams to keep the solution understandable and its decisions traceable. You can read more in The Ten Views of a Digital Solution.
The aim is a solution your team understands, can operate confidently, and can continue developing after the engagement ends.
If your challenge spans several solutions, shared capabilities, or organization-wide direction, see Enterprise Architect (Interim).
